This isn't how I wanted it to happen...
Howdy,
Now is it just me, or have you ever picked up a quarter or a dime and look at the date then wonder where it has been?
Just yesterday, I picked up a quarter and the date was 1967. And all of the sudden, this story came to mind.
As the fresh new quarter dropped in the register, the purchase of those cigarettes where final. As Jak walked away, smokes in one hand and girl in the other. The night manager closed the store and closed the drawers....The year was 1967...Time passed and the quarter was given as change to others. Like in 1975, When Cody Carver used that same exact quarter to get that sticky gumball. And in 1982, When Kat had just enough change to get that last can of AquaNet. Then finally, just yesterday, that same quarter was handed to me as change for the underwear, lighters and watermelon gum that I was buying at Walmart. The year? 2007.
It might sound weird to some of you. And I know you're going to go, "Jeez Jak, You're a freaking nut case." But I know, that the next time that you get change, you are going to look at the date and remember this blog. Who's the nut case then?
Well folks, It is Saturday night and I have bought myself new shoes, new shirts, sweatshirt and socks. And to top it all off, I have a week off of school. I am going to get off this, but I will let you know all about The L Word tomorrow, and work and such.
Take care.
This is Jak signing off.
Goodbye and Goodnight.
Love Always,
Jak.
